Check-in

Here you can find practical information about the check-in for our freight-passenger ships.

Please arrive at the harbour early enough and reserve time for the check-in process. We can’t guarantee the reserved capacity after closing the check-in.

Check-in information

  • Check-in for passengers travelling without a vehicle takes place at the harbour terminal. For terminal information, see the page Find your way to harbour.
  • Check-in for passengers travelling with a vehicle (car, motorbike or bicycle) takes place at the check-in booths at the harbour. For more information, see the page Find your way to harbour.
  • The identity of all passengers will be checked at the check-in in the harbour.
  • EU and Swiss citizens: The passenger must have a valid passport or an official identity card issued in an EU country or Switzerland which the states in question have approved as a travel document. Children must have their own passport or official identity card.
  • Citizens of other countries: The passenger must have a valid passport and other necessary travel documents.
  • Nordic citizens travelling on the Naantali–Långäs–Kapellskär route: The passenger can prove his/her identity also with a driving license. Minors travelling with their guardians do not need an identity document.
  • Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard and Maestro. No cash payments.

Check-in times by harbour

Germany

TravemündeHelsinki

Check-in opens at 20:30 and closes 2 hours before departure. However, passengers who have booked a power connection for their vehicle must be at check-in by 11:30 p.m. at the latest.

Higher vehicles (over 2.10 m) are parked on a different deck than lower vehicles and are therefore loaded later. We recommend not coming to check-in with higher vehicles before 22:30.

Embarkation for passengers traveling with a car starts approximately at 23:00. Passengers traveling without a vehicle may embark on the ship from 22:30.
When staying within the port area outside of the vehicle or traveling by bicycle you must use a high visibility vest.

TravemündeMalmö

Departures at 21:45, 22:00, 02:45 and 03:00: Check-in opens 3 hours before departure and closes 1 hour before departure.

Other departures: Check-in opens 2 hours before departure.

Finland

Helsinki-Travemünde

Check-in times: Mon–Sun 12:30–14:00.

Passengers traveling without a vehicle are checked in at the Hansa terminal and transferred to the ship by shuttle.

Embarkation for passengers traveling with a car starts approximately at 13:45. Passengers traveling without a vehicle may embark on the ship from 13:15.

Långnäs-Kapellskär/Naantali

Check-in on day departures

Check-in for passengers travelling with a vehicle (car, motorbike, or bicycle) takes place at the check-in booths. Check-in opens 2 hours before departure. Please arrive at the check-in at the latest 45 minutes before the departure.

Passengers travelling without a vehicle are checked in at the Långnäs terminal. Check-in opens 2 hours before departure and closes 30 minutes before departure (we wait for passengers from the 14.45 bus to the 15.00 departure).

Check-in on night departures

Check-in for Långnäs–Naantali/Kapellskär night departures takes place onboard. Please arrive at the port at the latest 30 minutes before the departure. Please show your booking confirmation and identification document to the port personnel to embark the vessel.

For questions about night departures, you can contact Naantali check-in at +358 50 565 2578 between 19.45–22.30 the evening before departure. Ticket sales for night departures ends 6 hours before departure.

Naantali-Långnäs-Kapellskär

Check-in opens 2 hours before departure and closes 1 hour before departure (we will wait for passengers arriving Wed-Sun at 9:15 for the 10:15 morning departure).

Passengers traveling with a vehicle are checked in at the passenger check-in gate. Passengers traveling without a vehicle are checked in at the passenger terminal at the Naantali harbour and transferred to the ship by shuttle bus.

Sweden

Malmö-Travemünde

Check-in for passengers traveling with a vehicle opens approx. 2 hours before departure and closes approx. 1 hour before departure.

Check-in for passengers traveling without vehicle approx. 1,5 hours before departure and closes approx. 1 hour before departure.

Malmö-Świnoujście

Check-in opens at 09:15 and closes 1 hour before departure.

Passengers traveling with a vehicle are checked in at the passenger check-in booth. Passengers traveling without a vehicle are checked in at the passenger terminal building at the Malmö harbour.

Check-in opens 2 hours before departure and closes 1 hour before departure.

Passengers traveling with a vehicle are checked in at the passenger check-in booth, follow road sign C. Passengers traveling without a vehicle are checked in at the passenger terminal building at the Kapellskär harbour, follow road sign B.
