Finnlines challenges everybody to participate in Finnlines’ project Together across the Baltic, in which we aim to exercise the equivalency of 70 times from Helsinki to Travemünde. This project is part of the programme for the centenary of Finland’s independence in 2017.
Exercise across Baltic
Our passengers can contribute to this project during their ferry trip on Helsinki–Travemünde-ferries e.g. by running on the treadmill, using the rowing machine or cycling on the exercise bike at the gym and logging all their kilometers into our gym logbook. Every meter helps us reach our target of 79 240 exercise kilometers by the end of 2017.
Exercise on your way to work or collect your kilometres at Finnlines' sports events
We also challenge all personnel, partners and customers to participate in Together around the Baltic project. You can log kilometers by participating in the Finnlines’ sports events held in Vuosaari and Naantali in August–September 2017. Our personnel can log kilometres by excercising at home or during their way to work.
In cooperation with Team Rynkeby
Our partner in this project, which will last until the end of the year, is Team Rynkeby, a Nordic charity cycling team. In return for everyone’s participation Finnlines will donate €50 000 to the AAMU Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
Let’s exercise together for a great cause!
The year 2017 will mark Finland’s 100th anniversary as an independent state. It will be an important year for Finland full of events created through joint efforts. The anniversary year will generate actions, experiences and an extensive programme of events. It will be seen and heard across the country throughout 2017. Through these actions, we will reflect on the past 100 years of Finland’s independence, assess its present and explore its future. Suomi Finland 100
