Finnlines renews ISO 9001 certification until 2029

Finnlines Plc has successfully renewed its ISO 9001 quality management system certification for a further three-year period. The renewed certification is valid until May 2029 and underlines the company’s commitment to maintaining high standards across its operations.

ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised standard for quality management systems, focusing on continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. The renewal follows an external audit of Finnlines’ processes and procedures, confirming continued compliance with the standard.

By maintaining ISO 9001 certification, Finnlines ensures that its freight and passenger services remain consistent, reliable, and aligned with customer expectations across its maritime transport and logistics operations.

“Renewing our ISO 9001 certification shows that the work we’re doing across the company is on the right track. It’s really about making sure our services stay reliable and meet what our customers expect. Over the past period, we’ve worked on improving guidance and being involved in development work where quality plays a role. We’ve also tried to make quality easier to approach in day-to-day work, not something that feels like extra bureaucracy. For us, quality is something we keep building step by step, and this renewal shows that we’ve been doing the right things,” says Lasse Wirenius, Head of Group Quality at Finnlines.

Finnlines remains committed to developing its processes and strengthening its quality culture in line with international best practices.
