Check-in

Check-in opens approximately 2 hours before departure and closes approximately 1 hour before departure.

Passengers travelling with a vehicle check in at the blue check-in booths by the gate. At the harbour entrance, turn immediately right and drive along the fence towards the passenger check-in.

Passengers travelling without a vehicle, or with a bike check in at the large blue booth (check-in no. 1). At the harbour entrance, turn right and follow the sidewalk alongside the building to the check-in booth. The entrance is on the left-hand side of the building and is opened with a door code.

The passenger booth is equipped with a toilet, a waiting area and a small play zone for children. Enter the following code on the keypad to gain entry: 7575

You can find a small vending machine with some candy and drinks at the freight check-in in the large building. Only card payment accepted.

Arriving to Malmö harbour

From the E20/E6 (from the north)

  • Follow the signs (ship symbol, exit 19) leading to the Hamnen or N Hamnen
  • Take exit Västkustvägen and follow the road for about 3 km
  • Take the second exit at the roundabout and continue to follow Västkustvägen for approximately 1.6 km (Malmö Hamn)
  • At the second roundabout take the first exit onto Spillepengsgatan (Oljehamnen/Swede Harbour)
  • Turn left onto Hemsögatan and follow the road for about 1.8 km
  • Turn right onto Renögatan and then left onto Lappögatan. The passenger check-in is located immediately on your right as you reach the harbour area.

From the E22

  • Follow the signs (ship symbol) leading to the Hamnen or N Hamnen
  • Take the second exit off the roundabout and turn onto Spillepengsgatan (Oljehamnen / Swede Harbor)
  • Turn left onto Hemsögatan and follow the road for about 1.8 km
  • Turn right onto Renögatan and then left onto Lappögatan. The passenger check-in is located immediately on your right as you reach the harbour area.

From the City Center of Malmö

  • Follow the signs (ship symbol) leading to the Hamnen or N Hamnen
  • Take Västkustvägen and follow the road for about 1.9 km
  • Turn left onto Flintrännegatan and follow the road for about 1.5 km
  • Turn left onto Hemsögatan and follow the road for about 1.3 km
  • Turn right onto Renögatan and then left onto Lappögatan. The passenger check-in is located immediately on your right as you reach the harbour area.

You can easily get to Malmö Port by public transport.

Bus 35 stops at Malmö Norra Hamnen Verkö, which is the closest bus stop to the Finnlines terminal. The journey may involve a transfer and a slightly longer travel time depending on the departure.

Tip: Some departures on bus 15 continue as line 35 after the Sjölundsviadukten stop. In some cases, you can stay on the bus all the way to the port. Check the app to see which departures this applies to.
