The port of Zeebrugge is ideally located to serve markets in continental Europe as well as the British Isles. The port has modern equipment suitable for the largest ships and focuses on a wide range of cargoes with a strong position in ro-ro traffics but also handles intercontinental container traffic, container feeder traffic, conventional cargo, liquefied natural gas, cruises. The port is especially known for its car traffics, in which it takes pole position in the world.
Thanks to good hinterland connections, Zeebrugge is well suited for intercontinental companies to organise their European or worldwide distribution. In the logistic centres in the port value is added to the cargo before distributing throughout Europe.
