Ro-ro vessel floated out and the production of ro-ro passenger vessel started

Finnlines’ Newbuilding Programme is well underway. 

The ro-ro vessel Finneco I was launched on 26 April 2021 and the next major milestone will be sea trials in September. For the second vessel under construction, the steel preparation and block fabrication and block painting have been completed by 100%. MS Finneco II will be launched in August. The construction of the last vessel of the series is also proceeding and steel preparation of the vessel is completely finished.

Finneco I is scheduled to be delivered in this autumn and the two other new ro-ros, Finneco II and Finneco III, during the year 2022.

Start of production

The construction of the first Superstar ro-ro passenger vessel Finnsirius started on 1 June 2021 with the traditional steel cutting ceremony. Finnsirius and the sister vessel Finncanopus, whose construction will start in October, will be Finnlines flagships both in size and technology. 
Concurrent with the first steel cuts also the construction of the Superstar class mock-up started. 

Superstar ro-pax vessels are scheduled to be delivered in 2023.
