Finnlines implements a temporary fuel surcharge for passenger traffic
Due to a significant increase in fuel prices, Finnlines will introduce a temporary EBS (Emergency Bunker Surcharge) for passenger traffic.

Fuel prices have recently risen by approximately 50 per cent, and passenger tickets will also contribute to addressing the increase. Finnlines follows the development of Brent oil prices and the EBS will be removed once the monthly average falls below USD 70, which is the level recorded the day before the beginning of the latest war in Persian Gulf.
The surcharge will apply to all new bookings made on 1 April 2026 or later. It is charged per person and per direction. No temporary EBS will be added to tickets that were booked before the new surcharge was implemented.
Finnlines will continue to monitor the situation and adjust as needed.
Temporary EBS surcharge per at least 6-year-old person per direction:
- Naantali–Kapellskär or Kapellskär–Naantali: EUR 10 / SEK 110
- Naantali–Långnäs or Långnäs– Naantali: EUR 5 / SEK 55
