Current alternatives
Our ferries operate a regular scheduled service and we do everything we can to avoid cancellations or delays. Unfortunately, however, your departure on the Malmö-Travemünde route cannot take place as planned.

Your alternative travel options
Option 1: Crossing with TT-Line Trelleborg-Travemünde
Please book your trip yourself via the TT-Line website. Please note that availability is limited. You submit the costs* to us after the trip. Please note that we will refund either your Finnlines ticket or the TT Line ticket.
Option 2: Rebooking to another departure
Subject to availability, you can rebook to another departure by telephone (see contact details below). The next available departure is Friday 9.1.2026 at 16:00. You can find our timetable here. If you need an overnight stay in a hotel due to the rebooking, you can stay at the Best Western Malmö Arena Hotel in Malmö. Please mention the code “FINNLINES” at the check in, though we kindly request you to call the hotel in advance to find out whether rooms are still available. You can then submit the costs* of up to €80 per person to us. Would you like to stay in a different hotel? Then simply book a room yourself and submit the costs to us afterwards. You can find all the information about reimbursement further down on this page*. Please note that we generally cover hotel costs up to a maximum of €80 per person.
Option 3: Arrival by land
If rebooking is not an option for you and you need a quick transfer, you can travel via Denmark in your own vehicle. In this case, take the Rødby-Puttgarden ferry route operated by Scandlines (departures every 30 minutes) over the Öresund Bridge to Denmark, then with Scandlines to Germany. Payment can be made on the spot by credit card. You submit the costs* to us after the journey. Please note that we will reimburse either your Finnlines ticket or the Scandlines ticket and the cost of the bridge.
Option 4: Cancellation of your ferry trip free of charge
If none of the other options are suitable for you, you can of course also cancel your ferry trip free of charge. Simply send an e-mail to [email protected] stating your booking number.

*Reimbursement of costs
After your trip, please send us all your receipts in one e-mail to [email protected] – stating your booking number and bank details. Please note that incomplete documents will extend the processing time. Thank you for your help!
EU Regulation 1177/2010 applies, among other things, to the provision of information during the journey and compensation amounts in the event of delays or cancellations.
