Finnlines extends North Sea Services

Identifying customers’ needs and continuously developing its service products are few of the main values for Finnlines.

In order to improve North Sea Services, Finnlines has added an extra vessel to the system. The additional vessel has been operating since mid-February 2020.

New connections and frequencies

Adding the vessel to the North Sea Services has increased the service reliability by securing more stable schedule as well as created more customer-friendly departure times and new connections, ideal for the needs of road transport.

For example there is a new direct connection from Travemünde to Antwerp, Tilbury, Zeebrugge and Bilbao as well as new double frequencies in Kotka–Travemünde–Kotka and Germany–Russia–Germany services. There is also new roundtrip option due to the extra southbound call in Antwerp. Moreover, Finnlines is now able to offer a faster connection to Antwerp from Russia and Finland (St. Petersburg, Kotka, Helsinki) linking Finnlines’ services to the entire Grimaldi Group network.

Now it’s possible to connect any port in the loop

faster than any existing connection by road, rail or sea.

The Finnlines service is operated with modern ro-ro vessels that are suitable for all kinds of cargo: trailers, ro-ro, containers, mobile and breakbulk cargo. The deck heights and ramp strengths are suitable for a variety of oversized and overweight cargo units, too.
