Before Travel

Before travelling or making a new booking, please check travel recommendations of your departure and destination country.

Read more about the travel restrictions in different countries.

Please remember the basic rule for travel, stay home if you are feel unwell and have flu like symptoms.

Travel with your own vehicle

Checking-in and making your way onboard is easy and safe when travelling with your own vehicle.

In most of our ports, you may go through the checking process sitting firmly in your vehicle.  After presenting your travel documents, you will receive all necessary items for travel from our check-in personnel. You will then make your way onboard in a convoy and the car deck personnel will show you where to park for the journey. Since there is no need to que at reception, you may proceed directly your cabin.

Travelling without a vehicle

Most of our passengers travel with their own vehicle which guarantees ample space and short queues for passengers travelling by foot.

After check-in foot passengers are transported onboard with a minivan or a small bus. The amount of passengers per transport is limited to insure safety distances.

In Helsinki, all foot passengers are transported to the passenger tower from where they may board the ship using stairs or an elevator.

More Space

Finnlines’ spacious vessels carry 500 passenger at maximum, making it very easy to comply with the safety distance regulations during the voyage.

Our cabin selection ranges from a comfortable 9m2 inside cabin to substantial 38 m2 Owner’s Suite. The cabin selection varies according to the vessel.

More Heed

Cleanliness and hygiene are an essential part life at sea. During these exceptional times, we have increased cleaning and disinfection. We pay extra attention on cleaning of door handles, handrails, elevator knobs, remote controls and tabletops.

Hand sanitizer points have been added and can be found at the front desk, elevator lobbies and active service points.

Our Buffet Restaurants

The buffet-style service has resumed in our restaurants, however on the route Malmö-Travemünde the buffet meals are served by our onboard staff. We are still taking recommended safety measures and ask all customers to keep a safe distanced during meal services. This way everyone may enjoy their meal from start to finish at leisure. Breakfast on the Malmö- Travemünde route is served in handy breakfast pack which you can eat at your convenience onboard or on the road.

More Souvenirs

Make sure to visit our onboard shop and explore our wonderful collection of clothes, beauty products, spirits, and even some local delicacies. On our longer sailings you can easily pop into our shop more than once, just remember to keep a safe distance to other shoppers. Please note that we recommended contactless card payment at all sales points.

The Sauna and Kid’s playroom

The Sauna’s, bathing areas and kid’s playrooms are open again on our Helsinki–Travemünde and Naantali–Långnäs–Kapellskär routes. We have limited the capacity of each facility to comply with current safety regulations. On the Malmö-Travemünde route the Sauna’s, pool areas and kid’s playrooms are still remained closed until further notice.
